NBA 2K26 VC Farming: The Most Efficient Ways to Earn VC in 2026

The VC Economy in 2K26

VC is the lifeblood of NBA 2K26 and 2K knows it. A single build to 85 overall costs something like 200,000 VC. That's roughly $50 if you buy it directly. And that's one build.

I have three builds I actively use. I haven't spent a cent on VC this year. So I've had to figure out every way to earn it efficiently. Some methods are obvious, some aren't, and honestly some that YouTubers push are a complete waste of time.

Let me break down what's actually worth doing.

MyCAREER Games: The Bread and Butter

Playing MyCAREER games on 5-minute quarters is the most consistent VC earner and it's not particularly close. You get a base salary per game (around 1,000 VC early on, scaling up with your overall and contract), endorsement VC per game (another 300-500 once you've signed a few deals), and the ability to hit stat-based incentives.

On 5-minute quarters you can finish a game in about 18-20 minutes including load times. That's roughly 4,000-5,000 VC per hour with endorsements and incentives factored in. Not amazing but consistent, you know? And you're actually playing basketball instead of doing whatever weird VC methods the internet is pushing this week.

The key is to negotiate your contract well. When you hit free agency in MyCAREER, always counter the first offer. You can usually get a 20-30% bump just by asking. And pick a team that actually gives you minutes. Riding the bench on the Celtics earns you nothing.

Endorsements: Set and Mostly Forget

Endorsement deals in 2K26 are passive VC that accumulates while you play. Once you sign a deal, you get paid per game plus bonuses for hitting incentives (score X points, record X assists, etc.).

The endorsement events , where you have to show up to a press conference or do a meet-and-greet , are annoying but they're worth doing. Each one gives a flat VC bonus (usually 1,000-3,000 VC) and sometimes unlocks higher-paying tiers of the same endorsement.

The mistake I made early on was ignoring endorsement events because they interrupted my game flow. Don't do that. Those 2,000 VC bonuses add up fast when you have 4 or 5 endorsers sending you event invitations.

Fans matter for endorsement value. The more fans you have, the more VC your endorsements pay. Fan count increases from highlight plays, social media interactions (in-game), and winning games. Basically, play well and the VC follows.

Daily Bonuses: Free Money You're Probably Skipping

Every day you log in, there's free VC sitting around. The daily spin at the Ante-Up building in The City gives a random reward , sometimes it's 500 VC, sometimes it's a boost, sometimes it's 5,000 VC if you're lucky. It takes 15 seconds. Do it.

The 2KTV interactive episodes give 200-400 VC per correct trivia answer. There are usually 4-5 questions per episode and a new episode drops weekly. Watching a 15-minute episode for 1,000 VC isn't amazing value in terms of VC-per-minute but you can do it on your phone while eating lunch. I treat it as bonus VC, not a primary source.

Daily Pick'em challenges in MyTEAM give small VC rewards for correct predictions about real NBA games. These take 30 seconds. If you follow basketball, most of these are easy calls. If you don't, just guess. A 50% hit rate still nets you a few hundred free VC per day.

Side Quests in The City

The City has NPC side quests scattered around that give VC rewards. These are little missions like "score 10 points in a Park game" or "win 3 games with a teammate." They're not marked clearly on the map and a lot of players never find them.

Walk around The City for 10 minutes and talk to every NPC. You'll find 5-6 active quests at any given time. Some of these quests give 500 VC, others pay up to 5,000. The higher-paying ones usually require you to win multiple games, so you're double-dipping , earning regular game VC plus quest VC.

The daily leaderboard statues in The City are new this year. Players who top categories like points, assists, or wins in a day get a statue in the city center. I haven't gotten one yet but I've heard the reward for appearing on the leaderboard is worth chasing if you have a free day to grind.

What About Playing Park and Rec?

Park and Rec games do give VC. But it's less VC per hour than MyCAREER games, not more. You're competing with queue times, other players' loading screens, and the occasional game where your teammates sell you.

That said, Park and Rec are more fun. And if you're going to burn out grinding MyCAREER against the CPU, you'll earn zero VC because you'll stop playing. So here's the real advice: mix it up. Do a couple MyCAREER games, then queue some Rec, then go back. The most efficient VC method is whatever keeps you playing.

Methods That Aren't Worth It

There are YouTube videos claiming you can earn 50,000 VC per hour doing specific drills or replaying certain moments in MyNBA. These are exaggerated at best.

The Brickley's Gym drills give some VC but the amount was nerfed from last year. You get about 500 VC per drill completion and the drills take 3-4 minutes each. That's terrible returns.

MyNBA mode gives basically no VC. I don't know why people keep recommending this. You get a negligible amount for simulating seasons and it's not worth the time.

The Gatorade Training Facility workouts are good for getting temporary boosts and badges, not for VC. Don't do them expecting currency.

My Actual VC Routine

Here's what I do on a typical session. It nets me about 15,000-20,000 VC across 2-3 hours.

First, login bonuses. Daily spin, 2KTV questions if there's a new episode, daily Pick'ems. That's maybe 1,500-2,500 VC in 5 minutes.

Then 3 MyCAREER games on 5-minute quarters. With my current endorsements, that's about 4,500 VC per game. Total about 13,500 VC across roughly an hour.

Then I queue Rec or Park for however long I feel like playing. Another 4,000-6,000 VC per hour, but I'm actually having fun.

Before I log off, I cash in any completed quests and check the auction house if I'm selling anything in MyTEAM. MT from auction house doesn't convert to VC but you can equip MyTEAM cards with shoes and badges using MT instead of VC, which means more VC stays in your MyCAREER pocket.

Is this fast? No. But it's consistent and I'm not burning out. The people who grind VC 8 hours a day are either YouTubers who get paid for the content or they're going to quit the game in a month. Play at a pace you can sustain and the VC will come.
